Steven V Mitchell
Writer/Creator/Music Arranger brings this show, years in the making, to life.
As a pianist for dancers, Steven accompanied Leah Gray and Marianne Forti in pre-ballet classes in New York City. He wanted to incorporate the songs they performed after “pre-ballet hours” into an adult musical comedy. He infused unbelievable dating stories with dating songs written by the Two Chicks to make “Date Me, Do Me, Dump Me”.
Marianne Forti graduated from The Boston Conservatory with a BFA in Dance. She worked as a professional dancer and dance teacher in Boston and New York City. While teaching young children’s dance classes, Marianne discovered her love of singing and song writing. Currently, Marianne lives in Savannah, Georgia with her husband and two children where she continues to sing, dance, and write funny songs. She also owns a Pilates studio.
Leah Gray Mitchell graduated from the NYC High School of Performing Arts as music major and received her BFA in dance from SUNY Purchase. She has performed in numerous films and theatre projects as well as composing and performing original music. She teaches ballet and acting to children and continues to write and perform in New York City.
Two Chicks and a Casio
Leah and Marianne’s super-cool duo band, went on to play numerous New York comedy and music venues, performed in Boston and Provincetown, traveled to the West Coast for a tour sponsored by JANE Magazine, and recorded two amazing CD’s (“Two Chicks and a Casio” and “Back to Bitter”).
